Inside Sales Representative

LOCATION: Delhi, New York

Sportsfield Specialties is seeking an experienced, career-minded Inside Sales Representative in Delhi, NY to help support Sales and its Regional Managers.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ability to successfully manage and track multiple bidding projects while ensuring consistent customer contact and project profitability.
  • Work directly with Regional Sales Manager to determine project pricing and approach that will secure projects in line with margin targets.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales and Contractors or End-User, responding to all internal and external inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct project material take-offs for quoting development by consistent use of plan room platforms to find and view project design plans and specifications, as well as potential project bidder and/or award information.
  • Communicate with Engineering for costing of custom items and/or Purchasing/Vendors for cost of vendor items, and accurately quoting associated freight costs.
  • Accurately perform data entry to reflect project and production requirements as required by project designer/customer.
  • Effectively share project leads with other internal sales regions/divisions.
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge, including a working understanding of product installation and basic site construction, as well as a basic understanding of the rules and regulations of an associated sport or event.
  • Address and follow through project issues with clients as they arise to provide the best possible customer satisfaction experience.
  • In conjunction with Customer Service counterpart, manage all aspects of regional projects in the system from quoting through order and backlog management.
  • Collaborate/Communicate internally with the following to follow up as necessary w/contractor representative(s).
    • Finance to establish customer credit,
    • Engineering for costing, submittal and final product information,
    • Purchasing for vendor orders,
    • Production for lead times and,
    • Shipping for ensuring accurate shipments and packaging details.
  • Travel as needed and perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining customer focus.
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, etc.
  • Inquisitive nature encouraged.


Experience/Education:

  • Associates degree preferred or 2+ years of progressive Sales/Customer Service experience in lieu of.
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus but not required.
